School is destroying me..?
I left school for a year because of my Depression, Anxiety and Eating disorder (I was diagnosed).. It became so hard to go everyday so i quit.
But now i'm actually back in school and it had been 2 months.. I'm getting better with the mental disorders, but not yet completely.
So school is stressing the hell out of me. I have a science test tomorrow that i know absolutely nothing about. And really really really extra hard math homework (its harder than usual because its a review for the STAAR Test) and I have to write 3 pages and a half about how social media is helpful and not helpful for getting a job. And just yesterday i had another super hard math homework, a history test to study for, and 1 page and half to write about cover letters.. I cant take a break, i always have work to do over the weekend too.

Its like that everyday, there is so much work to do that i cant go a week without having a mental breakdown.

I think its making me relapse back to anorexia.. And I'm wishing i would just die, even though i got better, its coming back because of that horrible place called school.

I'm 13 years old by the way..
Please help me..
Homeschooling didnt work for me. When i left school i actually did homeschooling, but i didnt get things done.. So right now it's not an option.

I quit school at 15 and went from job to job until I just couldn't take it any more. Now I don't have to go to school or work, and that's fine by me.

So, either carry on as you are or quit school again. But don't crack up over it.

Since public school is too stressful, try correspondence school. (Look them up online). Or go to http://www.K12.com/TV. TV commercial says its free.

You do school work at home. I did that; had loads of free time, held a part time job, got high grades and graduated early. No bullies, no mean teachers, no homework, no stress, no deadlines. I loved it Smile)

I don't recommend quitting school because you may regret it in later life, but it's your life so it's up to you.

I am pretty much going through a huge workload at the moment too. My school expects us to do three extra-curricular activities per week on top of exam revision, homework and coursework. A lot of students also have jobs outside school too. There is simply not time for it. Everyone expects you to do everything all at once and perfectly, there is so much pressure.

I recommend booking an appointment with your head of year or an appropriate member of staff and tell them you're finding it difficult to cope with the workload and your concerned about relapsing because of it. They'll sit with you and help you manage your time so that you have time to relax as well as do all your school work. From experience, it's amazing how much staff at school are prepared to help you, you should make the most of them.

Listen to music when your doing your homework, it helps me concentrate so I get things done more quickly. It might help you in the same way too.

By all means quit school - school is not in everyone's best interests. If it is making you anxious or relapsing your recovery get out.

Don't quit on education though you can still be home schooled and learn for the fun of learning because you're interested in the subject not because you have homework deadlines and pressure to compete.

That at least will buy you some breathing space to make a full recovery. However life is hard, it is a competition for survival and there are no soft options. Failure and poverty means pressure to find food and shelter. Success means pressure, pressure to get successful and pressure when you are successful. Whatever you do there will be pressure so one of your goals for your recovery needs to be learning to cope with pressure without resorting to self destructive methods like anorexia. Get some counseling about that.
