Should I block this person? Or is it mean?

So I recently got this follower on Instagram that has a username which I really don't like (it's really negative and it feels like a sort of advertisement). Every time she likes one of my photos, I feel irritated because I hate seeing it (it brings up memories and things that I don't want to think about). Also, her username is so damn long and I don't have a lot of followers either so it always takes up the most space and shows up when she likes stuff. Would it be mean if I blocked her? I don't want to seem like an asshole (I already know that I am) but I don't wanna look bad. What should I do?

You have every right to choose to not allow someone to follow you.

I've blocked tons of people on instagram. I have over 10,000 followers and every now and then a negative and rude person comes along and I just block them. I have been messaged before about how they thought it was rude I blocked them but I told them why and they respected that and left me alone. The only way they can find out you blocked them is if they check out your instagram and your posts don't show up, and whats the chances that they are going to personally look up your instagram? Personally I would say just block them, who cares. Its your instagram experience that counts! Don't let them ruin it!
