can you give an example of a good link that actually brings traffic?

i wrote answers to questions on forums and left my link in the text, and i was the first to answer and left relevant information, and still no traffic... can you give an example of a good link to a blog/website? like a word for word link?

Some established blogger will establish relationships with somewhat bigger bloggers, perhaps by first leaving insightful comments on their articles, later on they may offer to write a guest post for this more popular blog just to get an in body link back to his site. Some links are 1000x more powerful than others.

Aside from the direct traffic a link may being in, they also have the indirect benefit of increasing your site's search ranking by a miniscule amount, although more search ranking factors are coming into play, the perceived popularity of a site based on the number of others linking to it is still an important ranking factor. Just beware only visitors are supposed to be making links to your site, if the detect strange patterns the links can be ignored or cause your site to be penalized.

I'm a blogger - I'll leave my link below. Here are some things to help boost your traffic

1. Commenting on other "bigger" blogs.

2. http://www.reddit.com/

3. At least post twice a week, more if you can. The more you post, the more content is out there.

4. Get family or close friends to follow - image is everything, if some random person see's you already have some following, they might stick around longer.

5. Once you get your blog running, submit it to blog carnival, and stuff like that.

6. Make sure you love what you blog about.
