Why is my computer doing this?
I don't know what I've done to change anything, but now, every time I open up the internet on my computer and click on a linked, it opens up in a new tab; where usually it would open in the current tab. I've been to the internet settings and found where i change it back, but i have selected the default as opening new links in the current tab, and it is still opening up in new tabs. I changed some other settings for the internet and they worked, so it is just this one setting that won't change. Please help?

You should have mentioned the browser you are using. Browsers have different settings.

Please check your keyboard's CTRL key. Opening a new tab via clicking a link is done by holding down the CTRL key first before clicking a link. Please make sure that the CTRL key's behavior is normal.

If your browser is IE, then do the following:

1- Open your browser & go to Internet Options
2- Click on General tab.
3- Click on Settings under Tabs.
4- Click on Restore defaults and then click OK.
5- Restart your IE.

If that didn't help, then do the following:

1- Open your browser & go to Internet Options
2- Click on Advanced tab.
3- Click on Reset under Reset Internet Explorer settings.
4- Click on Delete personal settings ( If you want ) then click on Reset.
5- Click OK to close Internet Options dialog box.
6- Restart you PC.
