How to earn / mine for Bitcoins?

..i spend lots a time in front of the pc and need to make money.
i can't play poker, so online gambling is out of the question.
starting blog or similar and making money off of ads is too demanding and one only gets paid peanuts unless he's super popular.

so now, im looking into Bitcoins. could someone give me a brief explanation of how they work etc. and some experience on the matter would be much appreciated. basically an overview to see if its a feasible idea to earn some extra money.

I don't know that much about bit coins, but I know you need a super computer to get any benefit from it, and even then you would probably not even get the money back from the cost of it. No average computer could do it well enough to earn anything noticeable.

Bit coin is gone now, all the money has already been earned from it. If you found about it some time ago it would be different.

If you still want to know how it works, you earn bit coins by making your computer work out hard algorithms I think. Only something a super computer can do properly.

Read up online and check out youtube, so much information about it.

If you want to mine bit coin you will need to invest in some dedicated hardware (ASIC). You will need to invest allot to get anything decent in return. In my opinion, look at alt coins.

Other coins such as Litecoin are more attainable and can be traded for Bitcoin on an exchange such as Vircurex. You will make allot more money and quicker. If you have a 7950 ATI card, you will make about 4-8$ a day mining and trading. Some people will use 3-4 per system.
