How to gain followers on tumblr?

I just joined and I'm not really sure how it works and stuff, i've tried it before but i never got ANY followers. I figured I'd give it another go because i really like the contents. My tumblr is cooloriginalurl.tumblr.com

I have a Tumblr, I never go on it but somehow I almost have 200 followers. alwayswithacamera.tumblr.com if you want to have a look, anyways to get more followers I would suggest when posting things or reblogging, etc to use a lot of different hashtags, make your blog look good choose a good template, good background picture, etc. Also like I have maybe add some music to make it stand out a bit more, make it as unique as possible as there are so many blogs out there why would someone choose yours? Good luck and just keep at it you'll eventually gain some followers

1. tag all of your posts with relevant tags.
2. post some original stuff and personalize it.
3. follow, reblog and like a lot of other people because chances are some of them will follow back.
4. make sure your blog is easy to get around and the previous/next buttons are easy to find.
5. definitely don't have music autoplay on your blog because that pisses people off and they won't follow because of that.

here's what you do:
-reblog/like a lot of people's posts (they might follow you after they see you in their notes)
-post a lot of original content and tag it with loads of (relevant) tags
-you can search up "follow for a follow" and follow people who'll follow back
-ask people for follow backs
-share your tumblr on other social media sites
-talk to people, whether its by replying, asking, or reblogging stuff and adding a comment

it'll take time to get followers though; they'll most likely come when you least expect them, so just ignore your follower count for now
