How to get over a break up and their advice is to "change the number in your phone to a friends - that way there wont be any embarrassing ex texts". So wat does it exactly mean?

Change THEIR number in your phone to a friend's number instead of theirs.

That way, when you get drunk and try to drunk-text your ex, the text will go to your friend instead.
