Does my prom date have a boyfriend? or is she lying?

I'm a senior and I'm taking a junior, Sarah (gr 11) to prom. When i asked her, she didn't give me an immediate reply but she was really excited!

Anyways, she texts me back a couple days later saying she had a boyfriend but wouldn't mind going as my safety (backup). At that time when she said it, I was happy because I was interested in another girl and did want to go as friends...

Why do I feel like she's lying that she has a boyfriend? I've asked if her bf if fine with her going to prom with another guy and she said ya, it's fine and she asked about how things are going with me and my crush last week...she seemed bemused that things didn't work out and whenever I mention her bf, she will cut the topic off!

Now my crush and I have sort of fell apart...I sort of started to redevelop a little bit of a crush on Sarah again...

I knew her from volunteering last year.

My questions

1) Do you think she's lying about her Bf?
2) I want to kiss her on the foreheard after prom...but I don't want to do that if she has a bf...for obvs reasons...
3) Do I pay for both tickets? (70 bucks a pop)

hey u remember me? the guy that email for opinion on why she stare at me for 4 years.
1) i think she was lying(that girl said she had one too which i didnt mind just wanted to tell her my feelings. im not a stalker but i checked one on her instragram it doesnt have any pictures of a boy and facebook status single. im pretty much over her) also no details and no picture means boyfriend.
2) either keep pestering her asking what her boyfriend is like(which i dont think she'll tell u since she probably doesnt have one) or just kiss her on forehead at prom.(i know the obvious reasons but if u cant force her to tell u about boyfriend u have to take a risk)
4) either ask her or figure it out urself
