Do you think people who have no sign of their BF/GF on facebook are more likely to be keeping their options open?

In my experience, this is usually the case. I mean seriously – if you think the girls cute and you find her on Facebook and see a profile picture of her standing next to somebody who must be her boyfriend, it's a pretty good indicator that she's taken. But the girls I've known who are very flirtatious, or have even dated me before I'v found out they have a boyfriend – they have no evidence of them in their life on Facebook.

I think Facebook lets people know you are in a relationship but it doesn't matter if you display it on the page or not. People will do what they think they can get away with.

It's Facebook. If you take it seriously something is wrong with you. The people in your life know what your relationship status is and who cares about the rest. They shouldn't be on there in the first place.
