Ebay Order won't go through?

I purchased a seventy dollar prepaid American Express Serve card to buy hookah supplies on ebay. Ebay said one of the items didnt go through, but all the others did. When I went to repurchase a similar items to it, they all didnt work. An email was sent to me that said all of the other things were paid for, except it included the price for everything instead of the items that it said originally went through. It didnt include the one item, but it paid for it.
I tried customer service, and they said it could be something wrong with my American Express card. I don't know if there is enough funds due to the fact that it paid for my item even though it says it was not ordered.
