how to change internet explorer new tabs?

I've been looking all over the web on how to change internet explorer new tab but all i see is how to remove them or how to click on them wtf. is there anyway to set these tabs as website i want to choose instead of having them preset as recent sites?

I think it might be easier if you download google chrome, you can have an entire favourites bar with different tabs for websites or recent pages you have been to. You can also change your theme (background) if you want to. The search time is also relatively quicker.

not sure what you mean.

you can visit a website then "set" it by adding the site to the favorites bar.

Or "set the tab in favorites"

click on Favorites on the Menu bar for details.
