Your being lazy using the automated feed descriptions, one example a looked into ended with an incomplete word in an incomplete sentence, and some 322 other sites had the identical feed description, duplicate content is a search killer. If you hand edited, perhaps using cheap oursourced help, or perhaps some sort of scramble script, to make the text unique it may help your search ranking

Adding full length (500+ word) articles on your subjects would help with overall search ranking and traffic, consider introductory paragraphs for each main category.
