Question about internet speed?

My boyfriend and I are moving to a new apartment in a month and they will only allow us to use their internet. We're on the internet pretty often, and I'm wondering if the apartment's best internet package will be fast enough for what we like to do.

The best package they offer is 6 Mb down/768k up, and it says they have high speed internet modems available.

We both play World of Warcraft together (so we would be on two different computers playing at the same time) and we stream Netflix and Youtube videos as well.

I would really appreciate some opinions on if this package would fit our needs. I don't know any of the technical aspects of this topic, so I feel pretty clueless. We just don't want to get stuck living somewhere where we can't do we like to do. Thanks.

The 800Kb up is pretty bad.. The 6MBs is also pretty bad. See if you can upgrade to anything like 15 down and 5 up

You will both experience lag with an internet connection like that. I would say 10Mb/s download and 5Mb/s upload is recommended. That package is perfect if you only browse the internet and check your e-mail.

You could always try Fibre Optic if it's in your area.
