I'm getting Charter internet and was wondering where it will be hooked up to?

Is the internet hooked up through the tv cable... will the modem be in the same room as my main cable?
Sorry for any confusion, don't know how to really word this.

Mr-Noob,
Charter will probably install your modem right next to your computer "where it really needs to be". If it is somewhere else it makes no sense at all. You may have problems in the future with the Internet and the customer service person will have you unplugging and plugging in your modem and re booting your modem and asking you what lights are lit on it and where they are and what color etc.
Yes the Internet is run from the same cable as your TV. The cable company will know if you need a splitter or an amplifier.
