Dad denied Medical with Type 2 Diabetes?
My dad was recently hospitalized for not taking medication since he is cut off from Medical. My mom is the only one that works and makes about 21,000 dollars a year. She applied for Medical for me and my dad and was denied again for the second time. Any suggestions on what we should do?

I'm not sure what to say, you didn't mention which country you're in but even in the US, the insurance company's can't simply not accept you by law. It may be expensive for coverage depending on pre-existing conditions but even that's done on a group basis so your rates can't be higher then those of others with the sam conditions. Many insurance policies will only cover a portion of the expenses hence you often have to pay a portion of your expenses therefore the problem is often of under insured people who can't pay their portion of the treatment.

If you're talking about government programs, often if you're making some money, you are expected to prioritize and use your funds for medical care first. Indeed, assistance can often then be fund for other necessities such as food and even subsidized shelters. The assistance is often after the fact where you must pay first in hopes of being later compensated in some fashion, often as credits on your taxes. There are often social services that people simply don't know how to apply for but there are outreach charities that are supposed to help with that. Often, it's a matter of asking the community for help, of going to the government services office and enduring the long line from the minute they open till they can see you, of talking with your priest or minister, of finding the outreach programs, of even contacting the media and asking journalists, of even asking neighbors, friends and family.
