Should I be concerned? Ebay Bidding history.?
Hey guys, I'm still relatively new to ebay. m looking at an external hard drive and plan on placing a bid but some red flags (possibly being paranoid) came up.

1. The picture is not the actual picture of the external but an image found online. (which i guess i might understand why they did that)

2. Bid is almost over but the bid is at $56 while other ones are in the $80+ (started off with about the same price)

3. The seller has only 14 stars

4. Looking at the Bid, history it seems a little shady. Ebay doesn't completely show who is bidding but i see (2***p ( 159 stars)) Has placed 4 bids in a row.

also 8***2 ( 11 stars) placed 3 in a row.

Am I being paranoid? or should I just avoid this one? Please answer soon, deal is going away soon.

your always protected with Ebay purchases if you pay through paypal, if you have any issues with the final item you can send it back or contact ebay if it's not as described.

if you win the HDD, run this on it:

H2testW
http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/H2...49366.html

(when you run it select english) and do a write and verify, this will fill the whole drive and make sure there isnt an issue with the drive space.

1, not everyone has a camera to put up a pictre

2 most people bid at the last minute, so you might find the price go's up in the last few minutes or even the last few seconds.

3, not everyone uses ebay, 14 feedback is not much, but everyone has to start somewhere, it's a little of an extra risk, but nothing ebay cant sort out should something go wrong.

4 bid history users have their ID protected through ebay, they do appear like that 8***2 or different letters/numbers. this is to prevent misuse of the system, people wanting to bid contacting other bidders to put them off of the item by sending them messages like 'the seller sold it before and it was broken' or 'the seller is bad, dont bid' and things like that, so they could drive down the price and bid them selves.
