Yahoo! Directory Submit costs $299= backlink from yahoo answers?
Let eg some circumstances, we are include backlinks in Yahoo answers.
Actually Yahoo! Directory Submit service costs US$299. Both backlink value is same?

Of course I agree in Yahoo answers the link is nofollow link, but such links also influence SEO rankings.
Both links are same value or .. let me know. what is the different between these two links?
The backlink (in answers) also most relevant so surely influence in SEO rather than normal listing.

The Yahoo directory was once a big seach rank booster, before there were countless alternatives like social sites, there are signs of it being phased down. It's not strictly a case of numbers, beside the page rank where your link appears, some sites, like a human reviewed directory garner more search engine respect are are more powerful rank builders than forum posts or answers. Some believe noFollow might help overall site authority, some are needed in the mix for more natural link profiles but it's not worth creating tons of Answers links, due to the diminishing returns from multiple links on a single site. Answers links have to be near the bottom of junk links along with most blog comments, forum posts and junk directories. Answers also lacks anchor text, which used sparingly strengthens keyword ranking.

DMOZ is s powerful rank driver that is free to submit to, approval can take months or forever, it's the human review used on that site that makes it far more powerful than the countless auto approval India business directories.

Some of the few paid directories that are respected by search engines and worthwhile investments for major operators:
Joeant.com pr6
bestoftheweb.com pr6
gimpsey.com pr5
GoGuides.com pr5
Business.com pr7 perhaps if currently providing doFollow, feeds other biz searches. $299.00 per year, they sell ads as well.

A general rule that often is proven accurate: the easier a link is to get, the less valuable it will be, spam robots generating thousands of links a day tend to further dilute the value of these easy sources.

Not all the links are treated equally at the eyes of Google, even with the same PR. Google used machine learning algorithm to detetermine the value of a link according to its original content, link on that page and the domain authority.

Yahoo Directory(dir.yahoo.com) with PR 8 and Yahoo Answers (answers.yahoo.com) with PR7 are totally different domains as Google treats subdomain as an unique domain.

A backlink in Answers is 'nofollow' --> has no value in SEO for ranking purposes.
A backlink from the Yahoo Directory is not --> has some SEO value for ranking.

Yahoo! Directory is an authority site and they charge for a link; everyone knows this including Google. Paying for a link in a high authority business directory says you are serious about your business and don't mind dropping some cash on its reputation and credibility. Its like registering your domain for 5+ years it makes a statement to search; your hear to stay.
