Popups showing up everywhere?

My computer crashed earlier and after it crashed a bunch of ads began popping up. Like on YouTube this random thing of ads would popup and be in the way.
How do I fix this? I went to Internet Options and nothing changed there popup wise. I never installed anything.

First thing is to run antivirus and antimalware software. I recommend Microsoft Security Essentials and MalwareBytes, respectively.

Next (assuming you're using Chrome), look at your extensions (or add-ons for IE). Delete any suspicious ones that you know you didn't install. Normally, invasive extensions are labeled something like "Not from Chrome Web Store"
