I would like to create an ecommerce website. Any suggestions?
I need something that has a free web hosting and domain and that can get me a high visibility on search engines. Thanks!

Hi,
ZYou can use BigCartel to create your first ecommerce site. However, your site will be hosted on their domain, meaning your ecommerce store's url will be yoursite.bigcartel.com. However, you can remove bigcartel's name if you decide to pay.

You can also use Shopify's 1 month free trial http://www.shopify.com/ to create a free site. However, after the free trial you would have to pay monthly.

If you are a starter, i would recommend using bigcartel.com first and then move on from there.

You don't use free hosting &/or domain registration for e-commerce as it is very easy to breached their Terms & Conditions(apart from looking very un-professional) with your website being deleted losing all your hard work in putting it together.

A domain name cost about US$10.00 per year, hosting from US$4.00 per month, use the free Wordpress script and a free e-commerce plugin such as free version of WP-eCommerce.

If you cannot meet these low amounts you probably should wait a while before starting an e-commerce site.

Well 1st you need a name for your website. Go check out http://www.impossibility.org, to generate a few ideas, it checks for available domains that you can register.
Don't waste your time with free domain and so on.
You then need to register the domain and get hosting. A company that i myself use is http://www.namecheap.com.
The next step would be to take a look at the following sources
http://www.wholesalepipeline.com
http://www.thomasnet.com
http://www.wholesalecentral.com

Good luck.

Here're some free services you may have a check:

Wix (Easy Website builder: html5, Flash, mobile, blogs, etc.)
AwardSpace (PHP, MySQL, Email Sending, No Ads, Free subdomain)
Biz (Website & Blog builder, Photo album, Free .biz.ly domain)

If you really want to work hard on building your site, it's highly recommended to use a paid web-hosting service, which has many aspects that free service doesn't have (such as dedicated IP which is a must for running a good site). Also, using a professional web-hosting service also gives you the guarantee of fast loading speed which is also friendly to Google and other search engines. So also check this one if necessary: http://www.buckeyevps.com

I don't think there are any free ones that offer e-commerce, and you have to pay for a domain name. A good one that is inexpensive is ultimatewb.
