yes, but only because you'll risk the suspension of your account. Twitter might suspend your account if you get all those followers so quickly like that (i've heard of this happening to people) i think they suspend it for a month or something, but i dont know, cuz ive never had my account suspended... They might think that you're some sort of spammer, so that's kinda why they suspend accounts...i would say no if it weren't for the whole suspension of acount thing..
it took me some time to get there (i'm at 1,931 followers right now) ..i've been on twitter for over a year, i guess ..so im getting more and more followers...
umm maybe if you follow lots of people ( the people that follow back), you'll get more...that's mostly how i got to 1,000 followers i think..you can always unfollow people who unfollow you or dont follow back (i use buzzom.com's and tweepi.com's "flush" tool for that) other ways you can get more followers is to of course tweet/retweet interesting things, and use hashtags (#) <---using those like '#ilovegaga' for example, could get you more Lady Gaga followers if you wanted more like that...but that's just an example... the '#nowplaying' one is good too (that's for like when ur playing music) ... and there's the whole 'RT/Retweet This If..." thing...you can follow the people who actually rt those and they might just follow you back..
also, people can give you shoutouts and follow friday mentions saying that people should follow you (you should ask your followers for that)..
make sure you @-reply to people and tweet lots, so people won't think ur dead, or boring
getting followers takes patience..
oh and don't try the "get free followers" and "get 100 follwers for free" things...they dont work, trust me...they might get you old online markets and spammers and stuff if you do that...
