Minecraft Sever. No one but me can Join my sever?
Got the minecraft_server.1.7.5

I would like to know does it matter I got my modem hooked to my router?

When I get on Firefox and type my address in, it asks me log in to my router/modem. I log in and I go to the single port forwarding under my applications and gaming.

I typed the 25565 under the External port and Internal port. The protocol is set to both (TCP,UDP) the IP is filled out for me already but the last few numbers.

When I go to CMD > IPConfig it tells me IPs for Default Gateway, IPv4 and Local and IPv6 IP. The only IP that works is the IPv4 address. When I type the default Gateway IP it tells me “You cannot use the Router IPv4, network or broadcast address.” Local IPv6 does not work at all.

When I go though my modem gives me IP’s "IP address (LAN): IP address (WAN): computer IP address:" The IP address LAN and Computer IP same as the IPv4 and default Gateway. The only one that is different is the IP address (WAN) But I can not edit the numbers but the last three numbers on the page for the forward port/page. So I can not give the WAN IP a try becuase I can not change any of the numbers but the last 3. The going to Google; Typing "What is my IP?" will not work as well because of the numbers it start with. IP address (WAN) looks of it that one I need to allow other people to join my server.

The IPv4 is the only thing I can use, and it lets me on the sever. I can play around etcetera but, not my friends. They are getting messages saying....
Whole question got hidden, click show more
....They are getting messages saying “Unknown Host and java.netConnectionException” Connection timed out: no Further information”.
Don't have the money do that
Also my computer is window 7

You need the WAN IP address, and in your router you need to set up port forwarding to forward the port 25565 to your computer. Follow the instructions:
- Find your router manufacturer and model number
- Go to http://portforward.com/english/routers/p...rindex.htm
- Click on your router's manufacturer
- Click on your router's model number
- Find and click on Minecraft
- Follow the instructions given
If your router is not on the list, try the closest one to your model number from your manufacturer, it'll have similar instructions.
If Minecraft isn't on your router's instructions tutorial, use another game except substitute that port for 25565 instead.
