What does 1.5M Per Second mean?
My internet bill states that I am receiving 1.5MHigh Speed Internet. I was wondering if they meant 1.5Megabits per second, or 1.5Megabytes per second.

Capital M means magabits, lowercase = megabytes.
1.5Mbps means 1.5 megabits per second(it's the speed of your internet) |

It comes standard that MBps = Megabytes per second Mbps = Megabits per second. As you can see the MB refers to Mega Bytes (A byte is 4 bits x 100) Mega Bits (1 bit is 1/4 of a byte) Meaning 1 x100.
I'd contact your service provider for more clarification as the "1.5M" doesn't really explain anything. |
