Facebook Relationship requests issue! Please help!?

My boyfriend and I are sitting right next to each other trying to say we're in a relationship with each other on Facebook. Every time we go to our profile, click "in a relationship" & then click "with *our names*" it says that a confirmation will be sent to us, & neither one of us are getting anything! Please help out if you can & thanks in advance.

(Also the 2014 Facebook, not the older versions)

Assuming you guys are "friends" right?

Otherwise it could be going into your "other" folder, which I've heard of but never seen. And maybe try logging out and back in?
