Facebook privacy settings - hiding posts - little help please?

I have had facebook before but deleted it a year ago and I'm considering getting it back again. I am a little privacy obsessed and I do know how to change who can see posts I make and how to make my facebook private etc.

will probably have to add some of my family such as parents and aunts etc and I want to know if I can hide my relationship status from certain people.

Also, I know that I can hide posts from other people on my wall, but I want to know if, for example... if I make it so that my mum can't see posts from others on my wall... can she still post on my wall and see her own post and any comments I make under it? I don't want to make her feel like she cant comment on my wall, but at the same time I don't want her to see things my friends are writing to me.

The new privacy options available in facebook are awesome..they make your account more secure..

okay..so..
You can always go in privacy settings and change it to custom...where you can customize everything ...like who can see your posts and stuff..!! its quite simple...!! You can always use the Facebook FAQ ... administrators are always there to help you.!!
