How to go about creating a forum?
I'm looking to start a forum, but not just a basic, ugly vBulletin one. I want it to look professional .. does anybody have any suggestions about what software to use? Does web hosting work differently for forums? Can I use software to create an authentic looking website, or should I learn to code? If I want to implement advanced features (forum currency transfer between accounts) will I need to start from scratch and avoid layman software at all costs? If so, could you provide some online resources that can teach me the basics?

Sorry for the bombardment of questions .. just trying to understand everything so I know where to start.

vBulletin is a nice choice if you can make the changes on UI

Or you may see what tomshardware.com use
