The reason is simple. If someone walks in and says it's for a homosexual wedding then that's obviously against the owners belief. Nobody comes in saying they want a wedding cake for their second marriage,so the owners have no idea. Also nobody admits to wilfully living in sin as a homosexual does. Past sins and even current sins people are trying to work through are entirely different then willfully living in sin and forcing that sin on others.

Great point, and I agree with you that it seems pretty random, in terms of which sins they want to pick and choose.

HOWEVER:

I do believe, too, that a private business has the right to refuse service to anyone, for any reason. Just as consumers and customers have the right to take their business elsewhere, and "vote with their feet" (or wallet), so to speak.

That being said, again, you're certainly right that the very same people who make a big deal out of not serving homosexuals don't seem to have a problem serving divorced folks, and from what I recall, the Jesus character in the bible speaks specifically against divorce, and never says anything about homosexuality.

How can a waiter know a person or couple are homosexuals? They can't.

On the other hand~Dear: Christians do not judge anyone. Homosexuals are judged by God and God alone because they practice what is against nature. In the garden of Eden God made one man, and one woman and he married them. No Jim and John.

The Bible says, in 1 Corinthians "...that is what some of you WERE..." when speaking about the sin of homosexuality~along with other gross sins. That being so, a homosexual can repent and change, and God will forgive them.

So they just say; Hello, god loves you and I do too until they think that you have disobeyed their guide book, then it becomes; you are a sinner and god does not like that and I cannot tolerate that either.

At that point I can easily say, good, and your god means nothing to me and I also do not have to tolerate you and your ignorance.
