How do I know if an internet article is legit?
I normally don't use Yahoo Answers, but some friends asked for my skills in a bit of help or comfort in a situation. These girls are huge One Direction fans, and I guess I'm a bit of one too, but they were concerned because they'd read an article on the internet saying something about the boys splitting up. Now, I usually research things like this and find out on my own, but I'm not very good at deciphering trolls. So, I looked this up and found several articles claiming the band was splitting. But all of them said different things! One claimed that Taylor Swift was 1D's Yoko Ono and was the reason for the split. Another said that Harry was leaving the band to launch a solo career and the others were forming a new band called "New Direction". The third said the guys got into a fight after Liam beat up Niall...and another said that they were trying to copy Take That's split and comeback of the ninety's. Now, after reading all of this, I didn't know what to think. I need some help. I'm even beginning to become curious as to whether any of these articles are true. I'm thinking they aren't, but I need some proof if they aren't. Please help. And don't put up any hate.
Thanks bunches,
~Boo (:
UPDATE!!!

Ahh to only have to worry about boy bands..

The common joke "the said it on the internet so it must be true", look for stories that cite a source that's not a silly fiction tabloid.
