You most likely will have to pay overage charges if you continue using your internet heavily, i.e downloading large files, movies, music, youtube etc.... But you'll be fine for stuff like facebook, google, wiki, any forums etc....

you wont pay any extra charges or get shut off, you just get a warning.
If it happens again then you may get shut off, but they rarely do it the first time.

Depends on your contract. There are different methods. They can charge extra for it, or they can cap your service until the next payment period, or both. Some providers even cut off the service until the next period.
