How to check old Skype history?

I'm trying to find some really old conversation on Skype's instant messaging. Can anyone help me out?
PS: I use a mac- don't if that makes any difference to your instructions

1. Launch Skype on your computer by double-clicking the application's icon on your desktop.
2. Enter your Skype username and password into the blank fields and click the "Sign In" button.
3. Click the "Contacts" link.
4. Select the contact whose instant message history you want to read.
5. Click the blue "instant message" icon.
6. Click the link corresponding to the history interval you wish to view. You can view history for the past day, week, two weeks, one month or three months.
7. Scroll through the text message thread to read your Skype conversation history with the selected contact.
