A Strange Problem With utorrent.?
Ok, This is really strange for me, my isp provide me with maximum speed of 1Mbps, so i should be getting a speed of around 100 KBps.
But i am getting only 30 KBps and that too with good number of seeds.
The problem got strange when i check the networking tab in the task manager, and its showing me that i am getting full 100 KBps speed.
There are no other programs downloading in the background.
I can assure it cos i test it as:
i stopped all the downloads in the utorrent, and when i check the task manager again, its showing 0KBps download speed, and when i start downloading again in UTorrent, Its showing 100KBps again, but in the Utorrent, its showing 30 KBps.
I have no idea where the remaining bandwidth is being used.
I have restricted the upload speed to 25 KBps.
ok.. i agree that seeders and peers affect the download speed, I am not new to torrents, the ratio of seeders to peers is 1.5, and i thing its quite good enough to provide me at least 100 KBps speed.

It's not on your end, the speed of a torrent is ALSO based on how many seeders there are, as well as how good of a connection those seeders have.

EDIT: Have you tried other torrenting software such as Vuze? If it remains the same when using Vuze then it's going to be an issue with the seeders.

Well it also depends on how many seeders plus, utorrent takes some bandwidth as well. Just Get Vuze LMFAO really it is so fast. or make sure you download something with alot more seeds. i only download a file if it has 300 or more seeds and the download time is alot faster.

actually your problem is that u limited the upload speed .torrent network is like a chain network .if you r downloading file then you should start seeding .if you limit the upload speed then how can the speed can go above 100 KBps ?this problem started with me when i tried to minimize the upload speed .i then kept the upload speed to unlimited .immediately within 5 sec download speed also increased .so keep uploading ,
