twitter account inactivity?

i have this old account with the same name as my new one thats been inactive for over a year and i dont have the password to delete it , will twitter delete this account any time soon? its kinda annoying since i dont want people to mistake it with my new one yanno? please and thanks for answers.

If you dont have the password you cannot delete it. But you can do one thing drop an email to twitter and ask them to delete that account on your behalf. They might do it for you.
