Argument Paper on Social Media Sites?
For my final essay I have to do a argument paper over social media and how they have a negative or positive effect on kids. I have no clue what to write about. I need a thesis, 4 claims and evidence supporting my claims. Any Suggestions?

Oh gosh, I remember writing a research paper about the web and internet. We had to argue whether it helped or hindered human connection. First, pick a side. What is your preference? Nobody on this web can tell you what your own opinion is. If you don't have one, I'd list pros and cons and then choose. Your thesis is your argument. Social media benefits kids for ___ (these reasons or these areas). Or social media is detrimental to kids today because of ___ (this this and that). It makes you look better too if you acknowledge the other side. "Although social media may hinder a child's ability to socially interact with others, it is a beneficial tool to ___(good purpose)" Or "Some argue that social media is helpful for ____ but it is more harmful than helpful for kids today and future generations."
Find statistics. And make sure they're credible. Facts used as backup for your claims makes you more persuasive. Find statistics on addiction, time spent inside versus time spent outside, surveys of others' opinions, etc. Start googling. I promise, lots of other people have done this topic too. Ads |
