Male or female bearded dragon?
Hello,
I am looking into getting a bearded dragon and I'm not sure which gender is best to get. If there is a difference, which has the best temperament, easiest to tame etc. . .

Thankyou.

Beardies have different personalities, but it really doesn't depend on the gender. Just know that if you get a female that she may lay eggs even if you do not have a male. There are some extra considerations with a female that lays eggs, like needing a lay box, extra calcium when gravid (pregnant) and how to dispose of the infertile eggs. Other than that make sure you pick one that can hold it's head up, seems active and looks overall healthy. Also be sure to do research online, there is actually a lot to know before getting a beardie. If you have facebook, there are groups on there that can help and answer questions...like Bearded Dragon Lovers World Wide.
