Instagram not sending reset email?

So I couldnt log into my insta no matter how many passwords I tried. Im thinking someone probably got into it. A few weeks before I got an email from Insta saying my profile was being suspicious and to reset my password. I just saw the email today and it wouldnt let me click the link. When I tried to send the reset password email to my email it said it sent but it never did and i did it again a few times but i never saw it. It wasnt in spam folder or anything. I tried reporting my account but it didnt really work out. I also changed my email password. Could there be some reason why Im not getting the email?
