Why is my laptop internet so slow?

We have wireless internet at home and have a few devices connected to it... Two laptops, two tablets and one phone. I have never had any issues with the speed of the internet until the past few days. My laptop internet is going really slow to the point of sometimes not working while my iPad running on the same internet is really fast. Why is this? How can I fix it?
