How can I convince my parents?

My phone annoys me so much. I have a Samsung Focus 2 and when I got it I really expected more of it. It has barely any apps, and the few that it does have doesn't include the apps that I use most: Instagram, Snapchat, and Wanelo. These three apps require internet connection so I can only use them on my iPod Touch when I am at home which is almost never, so I am really mad. I got my current phone last June, and I got it with a 2 year contract. I asked my parents if I could get an iPhone, but every single time I bring it up they never answer my question and change the subject saying they don't want to hear it (mostly my dad, my mom doesn't really say anything, I don't think she knows how she feels about the matter yet). I've made it clear that (since I have my own money) I will pay for the phone AND any fees for changing phones AT&T may charge, but they still have the same response. I am really fed up with my phone, and I don't know how much longer I can take it. What do I do?

Easy, get a job and buy your own phone and a monthly plan.

Your parents will have renewed respect for you, your ambition and ability to solve problems. And you can also save some money for college as well Right?

Or you can sit in your bedroom and whine about your parents.

Some fees can get really expensive depending on how much you use your phone. IPhones are great phones but I got my phone that also takes 3D pictures and has 3D games and it is new like last year and it was $75.00 not sure if its still the same price but you can get it at AT&T its called an LG Thrill, its a bit bigger than the iPhone but you should check into it because it is a lot cheaper.

Just go out and buy it. If you have the money than you can really do whatever you want with it.

Do all the research yourself so they dont need to do any of it. Find the cheapest deal and plan to show them the cost, money doesn't grow on trees so you may have to give up some things (use imessage or apps for texting, etc., to lower the monthly plan, get iphone 4 which is free with a 2 year contract).
