Internet worked, now it doesn't?

I custom built a pc and assumed ethernet would work like it works for everyone else. But it didn't, and i installed a driver to fix it and it worked. But then i rebooted my computer and now it doesn't! And i try to reinstall my driver but it doesn't work! I don't know what to do but i need it getting working in a few hours from now.

I know this sounds like a silly and trite answer, but from this far away, without playing '20 questions' to find out what you have and how you got into this state, it's the only one. And it is in fact a good answer.

Call your ISP and ask tech support. If they want to keep you as a -customer- it's their -job- to help you get it up and running.
