Is all hope lost?

Recently I've met this girl who's 19 and I'm 17, this may not seem like a big deal, but these two years make quite the difference. It's actually been pretty awkward between us since our first kiss (it was in a bar you see...). I really like her, soon she'll graduate and I'll be still here though. Odds of bumping into her are decreasing, as I become more uncertain about how much she likes me and whether she would want to go out with me. It's so frustrating and humiliating that I only speak to her through social media aswell. If I ignore her I may miss out on something great and I'd be a complete jerk, if I gather all my guts, I either get turned down or I get to spend her last few months around town with her, being left heartbroken afterwards as she'll go to college or whatever having guys of her age around her all the time.

I'm making this problem probably bigger than it is, but the age difference is really bothering me and the fact that this girl keeps my thoughts occupied since that kiss is quite bothering. I'm asking this already knowing someone will answer "just forget about her" which I already explained above why I won't, also I don't think I can... I don't think I know her well enough to directly ask her either.

Can anyone help out someone who worries sick about this impossible situation? Isn't there any good possible outcome?

Ask her out. The worst that could happen is she could say no. If you go out with her and develop a relationship outside of texting and school then her switching schools will not matter. If you like her so very much then go out with her. If she says no and you can't have her then you are young and male and will have many other opportunities with girls in your future. Good luck.
