Use my old wifi router as a repeater for better wifi signal I don't have the money to buy a range extender?
They are both linksys wifi routers here are the model numbers. The newer linksys router model is WRT160N and the second older router model number is WRT54G.

It may be possible, if you're willing to work at it. But it's not easy.
There's alternative firmware called DD-WRT that can run on many versions of the classic LinkSys WRT54G. See my reference, below. If you've got one of the good versions of the WRT54G, read and follow the directions carefully to install DD-WRT. Once you've done so, read and follow the directions for setting it up as a repeater.
