Finding an seo partner?

Finding an seo partner?
I've got a startup niche classifieds site and I'm strapped for funds. Keywords really aren't very competitive, but the google adwords keyword ideas page does rank some of them as "medium".

I've examined my leading competitor and can see that he must be bringing in at LEAST 500k/year with the leading expense probably being seo/social media management.

I know nada about seo and would like to find a good partner to split profits if he can get me to high on page one and keep me there for enough keywords.

I don't have any friends with IT skills so networking among friends isn't going to work.

Any tips on where/how to find someone that would be partnerworthy?

thnx
re webmaster: I actually mean a way to MEET someone, like any places I could go to actually *meet* seo geeks.

I work as an online marketing specialist for RocketFish in Manchester. We specialise in helping small to medium sized businesses with SEO. I know that my managing director frequently goes to the Manchester chamber of commerce to do presentations on SEO and to meet new people.

By the way, when using the Google keyword tool for SEO purposes, I never look at the "competition" as it's frequently misleading. This is primarily used for pay-per-click campaigns.

Hi,

I remember going to the Chamber of Commerce is a great place to start. Also if you have craigslist than you should check that out as well, you should be able to find someone within your area relatively quickly.

On the other hand, I work as an SEO provider as well, however I live in Michigan and have no idea where you live. If you would like to contact me you can either email me at, Ivan@Maxserp.com or give me a call.

Thanks,
Ivan

Try the basic SEO techniques first and then wait to see what is coming. you can then optimize it accordingly.
