What can i use on Samsung S4, 02 contract when abroad? (Apps, Texts etc)?

Ive got a Samsung galaxy S4 Mini on 02 With Unlimited texts, minutes and 1gb of data, and tomorrow im going to ireland until Friday (live in UK) And have never took this phone abroad before, i was just wondering what i will be able to use on my contract etc, i need to stay in touch with people but theres no way i can go miles and miles over (£27 p/m already). Each day i use Chrome, Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and instagram. Hardly ever text or call, will this have to change? Or what? I have literally no no idea although last year my friend went £200 over his contract when in ireland, How can i stop this? Sorry if i sound stupid or childish but im just not used to phones!

Charges are limited in Europe now.
about 20p/min per call, 8p/text and 10p/min to recieve one

As standard O2 now puts everyone one their travel packsge
and charge you 2 pounds a day, to use all your contract minutes while abroad
and no roaming charges

BUT do check that they have enabled your travel package if that is what you want
- login to your account and check the bolt ons (it needs to be there - free)
