How to write a privacy policy for a website/online store?
Can you just copy off other privacy policies and mix a few words hear and there?
I'm not sure what exactly to say on a site but I guess ideally it can convey that we will never store or use anyone's information fromt he website and that it is a secure server when you check out and credit card information is not kept on file. Thanks Ads |

You can find some stock policy texts on the internet, including in wordpress plugins. Any lawyer is going to advise you to not copy others' policy statements, though using one for 'inspiration' may be OK, just the wrong word here or there might have an impact on the legal protection if affords you.
Many ecommerce sites use re-targeting banner ads that work off a cookie that was set on the visitor's browser, privacy policies warn about these cookies, they have been recently banned by European law. BTW Google Adwords ads prices are lower when ads have a higher quality score, having the Terms and Privacy links on the landing page are one factor. Ads |
