If this is a personal account, then this shouldn't even be an issue. Getting likes isn't (or shouldn't) be all important.

If this is a business page, then the way to get likes is to have good page content and frequent posts. On your business cards, or in the office, it would also help to have the words "Like us on Facebook" along with your Facebook URL. This way, customers will know you have a Facebook page and will tell others.

There is no quick remedy for getting likes. Unless you want to buy them, but then, how will that even be an indication of who truly likes your stuff?

Since Facebook is all about interaction, posting a trivia or contest 1-2 times per week will naturally get you more likes. If you do a contest, be aware that Facebook has rules that must be followed. Good luck with your likes.
