Is it true that you could get paid for simply blogging? How do you start blogging?

Don't believe the hype! It's not as easy as you think to get paid for blogging. In fact, it is probably one of the hardest ways to earn income on line. It takes never-ending unique/original content, ongoing SEO, a ton of followers, and endless other expenses of time, money and effort to even make anything significant. Most bloggers who earn any money substantially have been at it for years.

If you dive want into this great feat, then purchase a domain and hosting and start writing your A off and get out there and build a following. Then once you do that you can apply for Adsense of some other program and hope to earn by people clicking on your ads, or perhaps some other affiliate program earnings.

Do more research, it's a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng road trying to make money blogging!

If you are looking to make money by blogging, I strongly agree with the response listed above. I have tried blogging, not for money, but for building a network of people. Let's just say, it didn't work out well. Lot's of time, domain/hosting training, and money went into my blog and I only ended up with like 100 subscribers. Which, don't get me wrong, isn't bad. But if I did that on YouTube, it would have been better. HOWEVER, if you are anything like me and enjoy sharing ideas, photos, music, and opportunities with other people (hence the blogging idea in the first place) you may be interested in Social Commerce. Basically, you share a product with someone, they use it, and you get paid. Kind of like MLM, but not quite. You can do it through Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and such. After I stopped my "blogging" experience, I turned to this company. Now, I get paid for sharing, not blogging. Check it out and see if it works for you!

In general the great majority of people who try to make money on the internet fail, so many get the opportunity to try because the price of admission is low compared to starting a real world business, and the loses are relatively low. You for example might have to get 10,000 visitors to earn the min payout for the popular Google Adsense paid ad space system. Can't argue much with the fist answer, but for some that's the best chance they have.

If you are a competent writer and don;t care about fame, getting paid to write for others' blogs can be a more certain faster paying approach, there are broker's that pay on a quality scale, starting around $3 for a 500 word article, such as: constant-content.com, textbroker.com, thecontentauthority.com.

There are also freelance worker marketplaces where webmasters hire writers, including Elance.com, Odesk.com and the wild west of the lot Freelancer.com Elance alone paid out $200 Million last year, mainly for technical jobs, but writers got a fair amount, at 42%, creativity including? writers and designers was the biggest category.

Hello,

You don't get paid for blogging.

You create original content on your blog that will overtime bring more and more traffic. The more traffic you have, the more sales you may have.

As the other persons said it is quite hard, but for people who commit to blog everyday and know how to optimize each blog post for one keyword (which is not difficult by the way), monetizing is possible. The key to success here is to also do some keyword research for each post.

You need to blog on a platform that will give you authority and rank your posts higher in search engines. I use this platform: http://pantika.us/97q3t

I hope this helps.

Yes, you can get paid for blogging.
There are plenty of blogs that pay their authors to do a blog post. But these are not plain blog posts.
These are detailed and researched posts with photos and videos and other references.

But at the same time you can make money by blogging. Create your own blog. Start posting. Drive traffic to it. And monetise the traffic.
