Help with talking to girl in High School?

So there is this girl in my 5th period Science class at school, I learned that she is scared to talk to people I don't know the reason why, but I just know she is scared.

I want to get to know this girl, we do share common interests like Theatre and Reading, but she doesn't know that I am in Theatre class or I read, and she also has a very sarcastic, poor joke sense of humor similar to mine. The only interaction I had with this girl was when I was doing a crossword with my friend and she was asking about an answer, but I wouldn't give it to her and then she kicked the bottom of my leg. I never did give the answer to her. I think she knows who I am at least by name.

Now there is a curve ball in all of this, during science all we do is take notes and then wait until the bell rings. I do not sit anywhere near this girl so I can't just talk to her. She knows two girls in the class, one of them is actually a girl my friend likes and want to date, but can't because she is with someone else. The other girl sometimes comes to school and doesn't it's random. So if there is partner work the girl I want to talk to goes and sits with her friend. She doesn't talks to anybody else besides her friend.

I was thinking about waiting for this week to go by and then add her to facebook and ask her what the homework was, 99% of the time we have homework on the weekends.

My question is what do I follow up with after I ask her about the homework?

Just go for it. I know, you've probably heard this so many times, but I've been put in your exact situation, and in that situation i spent weeks hating myself for not making a move. Then ironically I bitch about being single. I kinda get what you mean by the classroom atmosphere, it must be real quiet. Just take a chance and the next time your in that class, just sit right next to her. Regardless if there are assigned seats or not. You'd look a confident BEAST.

You want to talk to this girl just for homework answers? I don't see why you can't just ask someone else. But, if you really want the answers from this girl, just talk to her about the lessons you are being taught in class. Then in the middle of the conversation, ask if you guys had any homework. Pretend that you totally forgot about it and act all panicky for the answers. Usually works.
