How do I get a saved snapchat video to successfully upload to instagram?

I made a snapchat story and my friends thought one video in particular was really funny. so i went back to the story and saved it to my phone. I went to upload it to instagram and everything goes fine until the final step the whole screen is like elongated or blurry and it ONLY happens to videos ive taken using the snapchat app. is there ANY way to make this not happen anymore. Ive looked for answers all over the internet and no one else seemed to be asking. Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling and no luck. pleeease help

I can't believe I found someone with the same problem! Fortunately, I just figured it out. If you've ever heard of the app Squareready, it's for putting your picture on a background without cropping it so you can upload it to Instagram without Instagram automatically cropping your picture. Squareready has a video app too that's free. If you download the app, then upload your video to the app, save it, then upload it to Instagram it won't distort the video like it does when you save a video from Snapchat and upload the video directly to Instagram. My Instagram name is jessicalynnphillips if you want to see what the result looks like. Yes you'll have space around it, which personally is what I'm going for, but if you don't like that unfortunately right now that's the only solution. Hope this helps!
