Why would your ex suddenly make her facebook page private?

My girlfriend split with me on lunchtime on Sunday, as she was confused and then later that night she changed her facebook page to private. Why would you do that?

I did the same to my ex, deleted him from friends and later removed a few of his mates too even though they were mutual friends because they were reporting back to him. I broke up with him, just didnt want him seeing what I was up to or where I was going. Plus he may misinterpret some of the things I say (which he did) to think it was about him, or who I was dating, didnt want to hurt him more.
