Second Chance Offer... EBAY Help!?
So a woman on ebay was selling a really nice green boppy cover that I wanted. My mistake was waiting until the last 60 seconds of the auction to bid, because the highest bidder at that point has set their maximum bid 50 cents higher than the last bid that I had time to get in before the auction ended.
Upset about losing the auction, I messaged the seller (who makes her items herself) and told her I would LOVE for her to sell more of that same item in the future. She responded to my message today saying "LUCKY ME" because she had one more boppy cover of that kind left, and she sent me a Second Chance Offer where I could Buy It Now for my highest bid price. I clicked on the link to make sure that the item she sent me was the same (it was) and she had the expiration for the offer set for February 21st. Well, I went back to finally click to buy it now, and when I click on the offer, I get an error page saying: "This listing (gives listing number) has been removed, or this item is not available." I don't understand, this item was JUST available, and was NOT up for auction on ebay, nor did it show up on her for sale page. Because it was offered to me, I was under the assumption that I could take her up on the offer through the 21st. Why would this item be suddenly unavailable to view? Could the seller have removed it so I could not purchase it, or could she have sent the offer to someone else and they got to it before me? Or did ebay remove it? I am really sad, really wanted the item, but can't seem to purchase it now. So what gives??? Any helpful info is appreciated. Ads |

If you can't view the item regardless if it was ended by the seller it would still show. If it wasn't posted on ebay where was it? Any listing (even if meant for you) is visible to any ebay buyer & and someone could buy it. The fact that "this item is not available" means ebay removed it for a reason, is the original listing still available to view?
