Am i over my ex? Or not?
Ok so this relationship was my longest and this girl was the one i loved and cared about the most until now and there was months of emotional turbulence after our breakup but i think i might be over her. Whenever i think of her, i just think of the arguements we had and also the problems we faced and i think over and over what i should have said instead of what i actually did, instead of desperately trying to fix the problems through words and efforts, i think of just cutting ties but i never think of her alone genuinly. Back then whenever i had dreams about her, that whole week i would feel depressed, alone and upset but today i woke up after dreaming of seeing her with another guy and woke up with my mood unchanged! Smile back then i got upset if she took a long time to reply back my text and i went crazy if she didn't text me a whole day but now its like three months without talking a single word and i dont feel anything. I had her blocked on facebook and other social media and back then i had the temptation of unblocking her to see how she has been and now i feel like if i did unblock her it was like i would open the gate of the dragon in the dungeon and had to have a boss battle with my feelings stirred by the dragon. Back then i got upset when she starting dating other guys but now, i know several girls that are interested on me and one girl in specific that i'm talking to and has all my attention and i would love to see where things go....am i over her?

If you still think about her or miss her you're not over her. But in my eyes you seem to be moving on. If you know girls are interested in you, why don't you give it a shot and go out with them? If you go out with one of them and don't think about your ex girlfriend or compare your date to her at all, you're definitely over her. Smile

It seems like you're heading toward the point of acceptance, and reality is, it's a good idea to go through the motions like you did after a break up. We come to realize why the relationship didn't work out, and can even take assessment of our own role in the deterioration of the relationship, OR more importantly, what we can't tolerate. With every passing relationship, we do learn a bit more about how to be in one.

My rule of thumb - if i start seeing someone, or go out on a couple dates with someone and feel the least bit of discomfort over their actions and behaviors, i move on. Believe me, a person's behaviors aren't going to improve just because we want them to!

take care!! observe!
