Is there something wrong with my internet or is it the place I live?

My internet has been acting up multiple times and I changed routers 3 times.i have comcast internet. And I have the router they gave my have my dad when he started paying for the internet. I change the channel from 1 to 6 or 11 and that didn't help. I'm starting to think that it's not my internet but it's the place I live. I don't have many people using the internet and I have 20mbps so I think that's quite enough to have fast internet. And I'm also starting to think it's the router's model maybe it can't handle the internet. I don't know much about the internet but can someone please explain to me what's wrong

Well the router that comcast gave you will handle the speed they sell you.You are paying for 20 mb are you getting it?Is it your computer does it run slow?I mean there is just to much left out of your question.If you are not getting the speed you are paying for call comcast and have them run a line check.That will tell if there is problem with your line.Is your problem only on the wifi?If so move closer to the router and find out if distance is the problem.
